Soheila Hassanpoor is a civil and political activist, born in Tehran in 1975. She has lived and studied in Iran, Turkey, Denmark, and Sweden. She began her university education in Iran in the field of German language translation, then continued her studies by learning Istanbul Turkish in Turkey. She later pursued studies in international marketing and economic logistics in Denmark. In 2005, she changed her professional path and entered the healthcare sector, completing her education in radiology.
After a short period of economic activity in Iran between 2010 and 2013, she migrated to Sweden due to social and political conditions. She currently works as a radiology specialist and environmental affairs officer in healthcare centers, including the Karolinska medical centers.
In recent years, particularly during the “Woman, Life, Freedom” movement, Soheila Hassanpour has played an active role. Since 2022, she has expanded her political and social activities through civil resistance, participation in public demonstrations, efforts to have the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps designated as a terrorist organization by the European Union, and cooperation with other political and civil activists.
The central goal of all her activities is the defense of the Iranian people’s right to self-determination, the strengthening of democracy, the pursuit of social justice, and the promotion of national solidarity. She is currently a member of the Strategic Council of the Environmental Party of Iran.
