Statement of the Environmental Party of Iran Condemning the Escalation of Tensions
The Environmental Party of Iran expresses its deep concern over the escalation of tensions and military confrontations that threaten the lives of citizens, Iran’s territorial integrity, critical infrastructure, natural resources, and the country’s environment.
The Environmental Party of Iran emphasizes that Iran’s future must be determined solely by the will of the Iranian people, the rule of law, democracy, respect for human rights, and sustainable development. War, violence, and the continuation of crisis-driven policies cannot provide a solution to the country’s challenges.
The Environmental Party of Iran calls for an immediate de-escalation of tensions, the protection of citizens’ lives, the prevention of damage to critical infrastructure, the safeguarding of Iran’s territorial integrity, natural resources, and environment, and the creation of the necessary conditions for a transition to democratic, law-based, and sustainable governance.
